A study of a Visitor Counter with automated entry and exit

Abstract
The model discussed here is a bidirectional visitor counter .The key features described in the model are i) counting number of people entering and exiting a room using an embedded system ii) using the concept of Infra Red sensor modules (TSOP sensor) and servo motors.[1]The embedded system used here is an Arduino Uno board. It is a microcontroller (Atmega328) based board having 14 digital pins (out of which some are PWM pins) and 6 analog pins. The Arduino have been programmed using EMBEDDED C. The detection of people entering or leaving is done by the IR modules. The concept of servo motor has been used for the opening and closing of the gates at the entrance and exit. Finally the entire counting process is done by the arduino and the final number of people inside the room at a particular instant of time is displayed in the serial monitor of the Arduino IDE (Arduino programming Interface) and can be seen using a laptop or personal computer.

Advance Remote Control Home Appliance Switching System Using Radio Frequency and Bluetooth

Abstract
As the world gets more and more technologically advanced, we find new technology coming in deeper and deeper into our personal lives even at home. Modern houses are gradually shifting from conventional switches to wireless controlled switches. This is the advance switching system in today’s technology. In this paper, we present the design and implementation of a low cost but flexible home automation system using Radio Frequency and Bluetooth. We are controlling our home appliance using a simple circuit, which consists of RF transmitter (TX02) and RF receiver (ROHS) and also with Bluetooth which can transmit and receive. It is Atmega 8 Microcontroller based circuit. This system is designed to be scalable allowing variety of devices to be controlled with minimum change to its core.

Design and Implementation of Automated Plant Watering System Using ARDUINO

Abstract
People enjoy plants, their benefits and the feeling related to nurturing them. However, in this fast life, for most people, it becomes a challenge to keep them healthy and alive. To accommodate this, we have developed a model, which makes a plant more self-sufficient, watering itself from a water tank. In this paper it will describe the implementation of a sensor which detects the humidity of the soil (of a potted plant) and supplies water, if required. The proposed work is based on Arduino Uno where the ATmega328P microcontroller that controls the water supplies. Once the soil gets dry, the sensor senses the requirement of water in the soil and sends a signal to Arduino. Arduino then instructs the pump to water the soil till the desired humidity and the sensor is deactivated again. This model will enable the people to enjoy having plants without the challenges related to absent or forgetfulness.

A Brief Discussion on Gesture Controlled Robot

Abstract
The model discussed here is a gesture controlled robot having two wheels on either side just like a car. The key features described in the model are i) controlling the movement of the wheels using an embedded system ii) using the concept of image processing hand gestures are analyzed and according to the gestures the robot moves.[1]The embedded system used here is an Arduino Uno board. It is a microcontroller[9](Atmega328) based The PYTHON program and the Arduino program are merged using Serial import interface. board having 14 digital pins (out of which some are PWM pins) and 6 analog pins. The Arduino have been programmed using JAVA. Two driving motors have been connected with each of the wheels and hence a motor driving circuit (IC no. L239D) has been used. The gesture detection part has been done using PYTHON programming.

A Comparative Study of Full Adder Using Different Logic Style

Abstract
In recent year, power dissipation is one of the biggest challenges in VLSI design. Adder circuits are the main sources of power dissipation in signal processing units. By reducing the number of transistors in the circuits and the design structures are may occupied small area and low power design. In this paper a Full Adder Circuit is designed by using CMOS, Transmission gates and pass Transistor logic and the power and delay are analysed. Power consumption and speed are two important but conflicting design aspects; hence a better way to evaluate circuit performance is power delay product (PDP). The designs are implemented and power, delay results are obtained by using TANNER EDA Tool. The results show that the transistor counts, delay and the power required are significantly concentrated in the design.

Abstract
The world is staring at a mounting energy crisis. Depletion of fossil fuels is no longer a threat, but is a harsh reality that can only be overcome by the accelerated adoption of renewable resources such as solar.Solar energy in particular presents a viable option, especially in homes. About 19706 villages in India are still un-electrified [1]. This work is about using solar energy for meeting the basic need like lighting and charging devices like mobile which is become a essential part of life. These multipurpose solar charger unit are simple, portable and ready to use devices which can be used by anyone especially in remote areas. Solar panels don’t supply regulated voltage while batteries need so for charging. Hence, an external adjustable voltage regulator is used to have the desired constant voltage. Here a 6 Volt 4.5 Am-hr battery is used as a power bank for charging the mobile and lighting a 4 W LED Solar Lantern. Protection for the circuit has been given through a Zener Diode.

Abstract
In the present era security is a great concern for everybody; starting from individuals to banks to any business or government organizations. A GSM Based Security System can serve to address this issue of security to a large extent. This would ensure that unauthorized access to secured areas or information is prevented. Keeping this thought in mind we embarked upon this project of GSM Based Security System using Microcontroller systems. We have intended to develop a system which will work in every infrastructural condition. It will provide access upon correct password only. In case of any unauthorized person tries to enter by putting wrong password the developed system alerts through SMS to predefined mobile numbers.

Abstract
The world is changing day by day. We are moving from analog to digital system in almost every field. If we say for example, our old Television system has now been replaced by digital Television system. Even our cellular phones are becoming smarter. To make our home smarter and digital there are several projects going on. In this work we have designed & developed a prototype for home automation where one can control, monitor and remotely access their home appliances. In this project we have replaced our old switches used in switch board by digital keys. One can control their home appliances even they are not present in their home by their mobile phone and can also get the status of the appliances and power, through their mobile phone. This system will not only give the control of their home appliances, it will also make home smarter digital system and help peoples to keep away from electric shock.

Abstract
Crohnâ€s disease is one class inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) affect any part from mouth to anus of gastrointestinal tract. Genome based wide association studies has fruitfully identified vulnerability of loci that can be triggered by environmental factors ensuing troubling inborn or intestinal blockade. In this paper, an effort has been made to assess Crohnâ€s Disease survivability using data mining and soft computing technique. A comparative study among five least squares based statistical models has been done on the data set and fuzzy has been applied to improve the optimal accuracy level of the error of statistical method. It has been further observed that fuzzy logic has outperformed the least squares based statistical models with accuracy rate of 94.44%.

Abstract
Electoral fraud is one of the biggest threats to democracy in India. As a solution to this problem we have proposed a modified Electronic Voting Machine which can help in reducing electoral fraud in India to a large extent. The system utilizes RFID technology to scan voter ID cards and prevent any invalid voter from casting a vote and also register only a single vote per voter. The voter ID card is also read at an electronically controlled gate, which will also have an RFID reader installed in it. It will scan the voter card and prevent any ineligible voter from entering the booth.
